TERMS OF SERVICE

These terms and conditions create an agreement between you (the “Client”) and Medrunner Rescue Services (“Medrunner”). Please read the agreement carefully.

INTRODUCTION TO OUR SERVICES

This agreement governs the client’s use of Medrunner’s services (e.g. medical services), through which the client can contract a Medrunner medical team to come to their aid.

By initiating an emergency call, the client accepts the following terms of service:

  • Medrunner is a player-run in-game rescue service only available in the LIVE version of Star Citizen (Public Universe, PU). Any emergencies initiated for the Public Test Universe (PTU) will be denied.

  • Medrunner cannot guarantee that a rescue team will be available for an initiated emergency call. While 24/7 coverage is the norm, times of low or no activity exist which may result in longer-than-usual response times or no response at all.

  • Medrunner is bound by the technical state of Star Citizen. The organization strives to provide a consistent and immersive service, but as Star Citizen is still in active development, periods of sub-par or unplayable game performance will prohibit Medrunner from providing its services. Medrunner announces the current status of its service publicly on social media and in the public announcements channel on Discord.

  • Medrunner does not rescue players from the Klescher Rehabilitation Facility.

  • Medrunner does not provide ship/cargo/equipment retrieval services.

  • The client will cooperate with Dispatch and the responding team, answering any questions in a timely manner and following orders given if necessary. Refusal to follow orders can and will result in restraining measures being taken by Medrunner personnel or the alert being canceled entirely.

  • Medrunner rescues both lawful and criminal players, except for any of the reasons stated below:

    • Medrunner strives to rescue its clients out of any situation. However, the organization reserves the right to deny a rescue for any reason if Dispatch or the responding team deem it necessary. Reasons include, but are not limited to:

      • The client being located in an area either inaccessible through normal gameplay means or known to be causing extensive technical problems for team members.

      • The client being located in an area containing an overwhelming hostile player force.

      • Medrunner personnel have reason to assume that the client initiated the alert with hostile intent.

      • Medrunner personnel have reason to assume the client has engaged in griefing or targeted player attacks.

    • Engaging in any sort of hostility towards Medrunner personnel can and will result in the client and any accomplices being blocklisted from future service. Reasons include, but are not limited to:

      • Hostilities towards Dispatch or the responding rescue team either through written form or through in-game actions.

      • Initiating an emergency call with the intent to ambush the responding rescue team.

      • Being part of an organization which has previously engaged in targeted attacks against Medrunner personnel.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY UEE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MEDRUNNER BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE MEDRUNNER TEAM’S ACTIONS, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF PERCEIVED LIABILITY AND EVEN IF THE CLIENT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Medrunner reserves the right at any time to modify this agreement and to add new or additional terms or conditions on your use of the Service. Such modifications and additional terms and conditions will be effective immediately and incorporated into this agreement. Your continued use of the service will be deemed acceptance thereof.
